Q: Is ASD an accredited school?
A: Yes, ASD is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges
Q: What is an accredited school?
A: An accredited school is one that has met the standards set by a
professional organization that oversees schools and ensures that
schools meet a high standard of excellence.
Q: Whom should I contact for help?
A: Our principals, the school registrar, executive assistant to the
director, and the director are all available to answer questions about
our school or individual divisions within the school. For details see Contact Us under the menu heading About Us.
Q: How can I enroll in your school?
A: To enroll at ASD you must complete an application form, pay an
assessment fee, and submit the records from your previous school. In
most cases, a student interview and testing in math and English is
required. See the information in the Admissions menu.

Q: Is there bus transportation for students?
A: The school has a limited bus service depending on space
available and the location of the family within the environs of Doha.
The bus service company we use is TriLogistics.
Q: What nationalities compose the student population of ASD?
A: The student population at ASD is multi-cultural and we are proud
of this diversity. The two largest groups within the school are
Americans and Canadians, but we have students from all over the Gulf,
Asia, Latin America, and Europe with over forty nationalities
represented within our school.
Q: What nationalities compose the staff population of ASD?
A: Our staff is predominantly from North American, although we do
have a number of teachers from Australia, the United Kingdom, the Gulf
States, and Latin America.

A: Academic calendars are available for download under About Us.
Q: What holidays are respected for no school days?
A: We recognize both Qatar and American holidays with breaks at
Eid, Thanksgiving, Qatar National Day, a two or three week winter
break, a one-week spring break, and a number of long weekends
strategically placed within the school year. We run a slightly
abbreviated schedule during the fasting month of Ramadan.
