The Middle School/ High School Library!

 

Welcome to the new secondary school library! Go ahead. Grab a book. Find a cushy chair. Get lost while enjoying the story and the bright new facility. This library is something everybody needs to see to believe. The two story high windows cast bright beams of light across the various locations where one can hide in a comfortable chair and relax while reading or working. This library was designed with comfort and usability in mind.

Right now, the library has approximately 10,000 volumes of fiction and non-fiction and there are plans to expand the collection dramatically. The library will have many computers with a high speed internet connection that will allow students to access the many databases to which the library subscribes. Also, in the periodical section you will find many current magazines and newspapers that keep our students and teachers informed about news and trends around the world.

It is the job of the library and the library staff to create an inviting environment where students can access the resources needed to complete the rigorous curriculum of The American School of Doha. The library is a place where all people can come to find reading material to keep them informed and entertained. The library can only be this hub of knowledge and ideas when people meet here to learn, talk, and share, so it is our hope that the ASD community continues to use this facility and help it grow.
