The American School of Doha has been taking great steps in environmental, global issues and service learning education. EduCare was formed in 2006 by two teachers with a passion to make a difference. In the following years, many teachers, students, parents and other community members have worked hard to live ASD's mission of creating and being global citizens.
The Mission of EduCare:
EduCare seeks to be a resource that empowers students and school communities to foster contextual learning of skills and knowledge that allows students to take action through environmental and community service projects. The Goals of EduCare:1. To integrate environmental education and community service learning throughout the ASD curriculum K-12.2. To create a greener, cleaner, school facility and reduce our impact on the earth.3. To design and sustain action projects and opportunities for students and staff that make a difference with the world's most pressing issues.
