Access & ID Card Protocols
Since August 2011, ASD has implemented a mandatory wearing of an ID card to serve as a primary form of identification for all individuals entering the school campus.
As part of the school's ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and secure campus, ASD ID cards are required of all parents as well as families' household help, regular contractors and organizations that enter and / or use our facilities.
With the exception of students, persons in all the above categories must show their ID card to the security guard at the school gate, and wear it throughout their time on campus.
The Campus Application
New families joining the ASD Community will find a Campus Access Application form below and may submit a completed application electronically.
Photos can be uploaded electronically and should be compatible with passport-sized photos.
Returning parents, household help and all other users of our facilities that have their photos on record, are only required to update their personal information and submit the request.
For security purposes all ID cards must be collected in person from the Central Reception located in the Upper Elementary School.
Office hours are from 0730hrs – 1530hrs, Sunday – Thursday.
Office hours will be extended during the beginning of the school year to accommodate new photos and ID card collection.
Without an ID card entry through our gates will be slower-than-usual as the guards will have you sign in and wear a visitors’ ID card.
Anyone who misplaces their ID card should contact idcard@asd.edu.qa to request a replacement and on re-issue a replacement fee will be charged.
The issued ID card remains the property of ASD and ownership is not transferrable.
