Living in Doha
Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar, is a modern city of approximately 2.5 million residents. It is a safe and cosmopolitan city with world-class infrastructure, amenities and medical facilities.
Our overseas hired faculty are provided with accommodation in a purpose-built residential compound which offers modern living and a wide range of on-complex recreational facilities. These include a swimming pool, multi-purpose gymnasium, steam and sauna rooms, table tennis as well as tennis and squash courts.
Doha itself is a vibrant city and hosts major international sporting events including football, tennis, cycling and squash to name a few. The city is also developing infrastructure in preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup when the eyes of the world will turn to Qatar.
Outside of school, our faculty take advantage of a wide range of social and cultural activities. Opportunities for shopping and dining abound with many major international hotels represented in the city as well as a plethora of restaurants and shopping centres and retail outlets.
Around Doha, there is an opportunity to spend time at the many beaches or to venture into the desert to undertake outdoor activities and exploration.
